Yes folks at last the car is all back in one piece and working, so should be at the next meet under my own steam ;D. All I can say is to anyone who has Mk2 golf etc with power steering, don't change the unit unless its fooked. Why because its a real pain too do , and needs quite a bit of head scratching while fitting it. The bracketry that holds the pump on to the engine block is a after thought/retro fit type of idea. So this means that there is room for error when installing the unit, ::)this is what had caused my pump to fail in the first place. But anyway those jobs are now complete, ;)RIGHT THEN whats next on my list. ;D
