think i may need a new gearbox

Hello all,

I think i may need a new gearbox as mine is quite rusty & when i went to remov eit from car the other day i noticed a piece of metal on the floor underneath (not sure if it was of gearbox or not tho) anyways question is where would i get a recon box and what sort of price? its a 1600cc 1991 mk2 golf
