Change my oil & filter 2/3 times a year probably the main reason it has done 257000 miles does not leak or burn oil this is on the same engine & still pulls like a train. This is on a 1996 Golf GTI 8v.Andy.

The simple thing is Oil & geniune filters are a lot cheaper than a new engine plus always fill your new filter with new oil before fitment these can contain in some cases up to a pint of oil which is alot to starve an engine of in initial start up after an oil change. Oil is not just a lubricant but a coolant as well especially on air cooled engines.Andy.

nice one andy,top tips everyone, i got one for you all as well, do you self a favour when buying those pattern parts! as i just found out with a mexican/brazilian or whatever it was hub oil seal,there crap!! get genuine or at least the same quality, ive wasted a day fitting one for it to leak,i would of been better of fitting a tap!!!!  |
