Hi all, any help would be gratefully appreciated. last weekend dropped the rear end on my 60s beetle but as i did noticed that the Torsion Arm Grommets are about on there last legs, and me dropping it two splines ain't gonna help matters.Does any body know what the after market Polyurethane Torsion Arm Grommets are like and what size i am likely to need for the 60. I know it means me taking it all apart again but will have to do this as the gearbox needs replacing (makes a right ole noise )and I'm going to drop the engine and possibly the gearbox out this weekend as i have a 1300cc `71 box to put in.Then i need to source a 1600 or 1641 from some where.Or rebuild the 1300 that i have with new barrel's.Any info would be a great Thanking one and all in advance, cheers Richard.

I would love to help - but as I don't really understand anything that you wrote - I'll just wait for some of the men-folk to come on and help you instead!! Sorry!! From a non-mechanically minded girl!! ;D ;D ;D

um. I need to replace mine, i'd guess the urethane ones would be ok, i was advised against using the bushes on the front beam, i think it is a reasonable standard size, ie beetle or bus. i've done too many engines for my liking but never dropped a 'box! currently i'm pi55ed off at the fact that my twin dells wont fire! grrrrrrrrrrrr 2 splines is low man! mine is one inner spline and looks tough, your's will be lower than an adders jockstrap! take it easy, if you need a hand, give me a shout! steve
