Hey fella, i wacked this up on VZI about the car.
The general concensus is that its a head gasket. or possibly a cracked head!
ARGH!!
you think that could be right?

if the big ends and the mains are wrecked then it's not really worth my while keeping the engine is it?
well it must be sort of gasket related so should i grab a set anyway or borrow a comp tester and see how it goes? The fact that it fired says not a lot about the journals does it|? i mean they're clearly not seized|!
how hard is it to check the bearings?
is it, sump off, etc...
or a full engine out of car strip job?
I'm pleased with the car overall, so shall i think about sourcing a new engine?
