can someone please recommend a local mechanic or somethat that can undertake a bit of a project as our 1969 1300 has just failed the MOT as it needs welding done on the underside and the garage that we normally use can't do this for us.

GO to Martin at VOlksworld in northampton, (01604) 710938 he's a dude and a VW nut also he'll do what you ask.
