this may be a very odd question lol but does anyone know where i can get a glove box?my beetle is 1972 but before the new model came out in that year. i ordered a glove box liner from Heritage but it didnt fit so had to send back so i still have only the flap which opens and can see into the under bonnet space lol. not sure how one fits either.there is a bent piece of metal in that area so i assume that holds it in or something?if anyone could shed some sort of light lol.

yeah the glovebox is a sort of fibreboard pouch that is held by the metal strap. there are about 3 differernt types, Split window, Oval window and then standard beetle. most bugs are obviously the standard one. they are handed so if your car is RHD a LHD glovebox wont fit! also your bug is a standard not a super beetle isn't it? i guess 1303 (curvy windscreen bulbous front-i would know butcant be bumed to look at your pics again ) will have a differnt one. come to thenext meet, bring what you have and i'll look at it and do my best to advise you. Its damned cold without the liner though! all the air whizzes straight at your passenger! take it easy. Steve
