I'm not sure on indicators, there not legally required on a vehicle (if not fitted) as its not a legal requirement of the Highway code to indicate your intentions I'd ask Muskrat, about the hight etc

really, i never knew that. i was going to invest in some very small indicators and smooth the general look of my bumper by locating these new small indicators in the mesh grill filling in the hole left behind by the original lens. they will be about an inch or two lower than their current location. or install mini cooper indicators as they are very small and look very cool.

im not 100% but i dont think there's a height spec as such, as far as i understand it if there fitted they have to work, or as nige said if if there not fitted it won't matter anyway. if you think about my bus as there the brake lights as well no ones ever ulled me up on that

its strange because there is a law on the location of fog lights, i would deem them less of an essential then indicators. thank you for your input.

Yep hand signals are still legal, and I mean the ones in the highway code not the two fingered variety Hence indicators are not a legal requirement, however most idiots on the road these days, wouldn't know why you had your arm out the window in the first place, they would more than likely think it was an insult

;D
i totally agree, i think they should include such things in the driving tests of today, it may not be relivant for them to use but at least they will understand what the mad person in front of them is doing with their hand hanging out the window. are they telling me to take over or trying to fly!!!
but thinking about it BMW's have their indicators on the options list at the dealers, hence why so many dont use them ;D

its strange because there is a law on the location of fog lights, i would deem them less of an essential then indicators. thank you for your input. The reason is that fog lights as a rule have been fitted as a factory item in more resent years, and so come under more current regulations, plus can dazzle oncoming drivers if fitted incorrectly. The law regards vehicles on the whole is not respective, as otherwise it would be very hard to enforce especially on really old vehicles. There some exceptions to this of course, one that spring to mind is the CO2, and HC emissions regulations.

Plus if its pre 1958, there is no size regulations regarding brake lights
