well as MOT time has caused panic this year i thought a dedicated thread of action shots would be worth a look. I know that Hayley's bug needs welding and that mine does too. (PICS PLEASE HAYLEY!) Mine had a slightly dodgy beam, needed inner bushes, so done that! (Thanks all who helped) unfortunatley as i was underneath i noticed a spot of rust, which turned into two long rusty holes in the frame head bottom. so as well as replacing a rear spring plate cover and a handbrake cable, i now need to weld on a new frame head bottom, (Pics coming when i do it) todays job is order the bit and move the bug from Mr animalbuses to my friends for the welding extravaganza! Oh I've ordered new 145/65 r15 tyres for the front. MAster plan is to have it MOT'd for Dubfreeze! WICKED!!!! s

Hector had his MOT today. They had to do a couple of things but nothing major. Something about the steering column, headlights and securing seatbelts. He's now tucked up safe in his garage again.

are MOT's on old motors what fun they are, The best one was the guy who used to MOT my 1944 Ford GPW American jeep, the first time he did the test he was looking for a wing mirror on the driver side (on the right hand side of the car in his mind) and insisting that the Jeep needed one by law, the whole time this conversation took place I was seating in the driver seat on the left hand side pointing to the mirror ;D saying it is on the drivers side Yes he did feel a right plonker ;D

if its not standard at time of manufacture, it doesnt need to be there! some daft bint in the SCD had a go at my lack of wing mirror, told her to flip off!

they could be very major!!!! I think she means nothing major in terms of the cost!! Not the work! Absolutely. I was a bit worried when it came up on the bill but the fact that it was all sorted on the day and the cost wasn't too extortionate was a relief. ;D
