looking at purchasing a new welder soon Needs to be a MIG obviously, but since i last welded many moons ago things have moved on.......... old git ........so a few Q&A rounds live or trigger torch? ?? gas or gas-less When i brought my first MIG ( back when the world was forming ) gas-less was a waste of time have things moved on........ ?? any feedback would be grateful tricky

trigger torch in my opinion is a God-send.. I use gas, a lot of mini-migs have the option of gasless anyway so get gas and you can go either way. I found my SIP to be shocking, now got a clarke, much better in my opinion! s

buy the best you can, go for one that runs gas and work out the kind of welding you planning to do, then get one with this inductance.
Sure weld have a good set up and they local mines the mono mig 190

I have a redundent mig welder i bought new to restore the bus which is now complete, i have a large bottle of argon gas but it will also run on disposibles, it is trigger fed and comes complete with wire etc and some spare tips, if you what to buy it i want £125.00 quid for it as i need the room.

Sorry mate for the lack of photo's i will do some tomorrow and get them to you , it is about 18 months old and i only used it to restore the bus and have not used it much since.

Dont by a $hite Wolfweld from Screwfix. Spend a bit more and get a Clarke at least, having a cheap welder has slowed me down loads..(and working) make sure it has a steel wire feed and not nylon.
