Due to the rain, there was no racing on Saturday at all, but we did enjoy the firework display that we could see from our van...
After very little sleep (due to idiots playing very loud music till stupid o'clock next to our van), we woke up to more rain on Sunday. Fortunately, by early afternoon, the rain had gone, and the racing began.
They raced right through until 9pm, with some fab action on the track. You can't beat a bit of night racing. I'm afraid I just enjoyed the racing, and forgot to take any photos.
After the racing, Andy and I decided that we really needed a good night's sleep, so we came home for the night (leaving the van in the field with Stred and Mand).
Woke up this morning after a lovely night's sleep, and headed back up to the Pod. When we got there, this is what we found...
Stred (inspired by Toughjeans and Spenny's recent antics) had decided to decorate our van in our absence!!
The sun was peeping out from behind the clouds every now and then, so Andy and I headed up to the bank to watch some racing...
Only to be greeted with this...
Santa Pod's new track sweeper...
After a minor clear up, it was time for the VWDRC...
Here's a couple of Luke (G-Dub) on the start line...
And a couple of newbies to the VW drag racing club...a notch and a squareback...
Then some of the other classes came round...
I'm absolutely bushed now, and despite only having intermittent bursts of sunshine for just one day...Andy and I both have severe 'Pod Face'!!!
