Another cracking time at the Breeze!!
So we left Wellingboro at 7pm, and due to missing the worst of the earlier traffic, arrived at Hook Road Arena in Epsom just over two hours later!
The journey...
Tricky and Rachel in front...
The Spenstars behind...
Now that my bump won't allow me to get behind the wheel comfortably...Do you think Andy enjoys being the designated driver?
He was alright really!! And I even coped well with being the passenger!
He was even happier once we arrived, and he was allowed his alcohol!!! ;D
In fact, we were all glad to be there and chill out for the rest of the evening...
After a good night's sleep, we woke up at the crack of dawn ready to get in the queue for the convoy by 7am.
Once queued up, we then sorted breakfast, packed up etc.
We left for Brighton just before 9am (7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th in the convoy!!)
Unfortunately, I had left my camera in the back of the van, and couldn't get to it...hopefully some of the others might have pics of the convoy.
After a minor direction mishap on my part, we arrived on the sea front and got parked up...
We had a wander around the show...didn't take too many pics, but here are a few...
Spenny thought this looked like a prison van...
Check out the sign in the rear window...
I loved the bra on this... (normally an Andy line, that one!!! )
And the exterior of this was ace...
Tricky's Newbie (nicked from someone else)...
Crazy car...
Pretty stickers....
A 'Hector' lookalike...
We then had a pootle around Brighton. Andy and I headed onto the pier for a coffee, and whilst at the coffee/smoothie bar, I spied a banana (just what I'd been craving)...it wasn't actually for sale (it was for the smoothies they made), but the guy serving sold it to me anyway...I was a very happy bunny!!
We then met up with Spenny, Caroline, Mand and Stred, and went for a quick go on the 'Dolphin Derby'...I think Spenny has some piccies of this.
After a bite of lunch (where we met up with Chris and Jenny), and some more shopping, we headed back to the front, and then went up to the racecourse.
It was very windy up there (as always), but the sun did try to make an appearance..
Later that evening we all headed over to the bar for the entertainment...
...watched the Poi Fire Show for a while...
...then headed inside...found our little corner to set up base, then lots of boogie-ing ensued...
A bit of 'Y.M.C.A.'...
Then a bit of 'Sweet Caroline'...
And after that - I'm just not sure what they were dancing to...but it did involve some class dance moves by all...
One of Stred and Mand's strange aquaintances decided to strip off...
After a surprisingly toasty night's sleep, we got up and packed up.
The view as we left the racecourse...
Spenny and Caroline headed off into Brighton for a bit more retail therapy, whilst the rest of us decided on the fry up therapy, and headed for the Cafe overlooking the Marina...
Photo opportunity...but where's Tricky?
Right, got Tricky...but Phil's parked the wrong way...
Now we've got Phil round the right way...who's that getting in the photo?
Now, that's better...
After a lovely brekkie, got a photo of Mand and Stred's aquarium (aka their 'Dolphin Derby' prizes)...
It was then time to head home...
Thanks to all the guys for making it a fantastic weekend!!
