Hi All

Was surfing the internet and thought it was about time i found this website after being told about it by a couple of your members who i was camping with at Bug Jam last year. Well finally i have done it. Im Craig - Im 23 (very soon to be 24) - I live just outside of Kettering and am the proud owner of a 1971 VW Beetle that must be the longest resto project in history (5 years!)

I have had a tendancy to get distracted by my motorbike but this year i have vowed to throw myself into my beetle - so far i have stripped the interior, removed the engine, removed the transaxle and this weekend am going to spend the time prepping the body to be split in time for shopping at dubfreeze next month.

It requires just about everything you could imagine (pans/heater channels/cross members e.t.c) so there is a while left on this project but my aim is Bug Jam 25!

Well that is me and i have attached some pictures (not the most recent but will take some more after the weekends activities) and i look forward to speaking/extracting information from you all.

My vert has been being restored for the last 5 years too....

Welcome to the club, thought I'd seen those piccys before!?!? Its bad when I can recognise vw's better than people! Had to think where I'd seen them though! (good job you put your name!)

How are you getting on with the bug, was the weekend a success?

Wrap up well for Dubfreeze...we haven't been to one yet that hasn't been flipping freezing!!!!

Who did you camp with at Bug Jam? (I'm just being nosey!)

Hopefully see you at a meet soon and you can update me since the focus days!!!!!

Hi Craig, Welcome to the nut house, no honestly we are a great bunch of folks and we do have some good times. We have all been there bud but you will get there, my Bay window was in about the same state and it took about 6 months after paint. So there's no pressure, anyway what bike you got, i have a 94 Suzuki RGV250,
