Hi all...Time to pick ya brains here. My brakes are fine when i first start out on a journey. Have a bit of travel on pedal and brakes are good. But after a while i seem to lose travel on the pedal and almost have to put my foot thru the floor to stop. Will do the same the next day or after a few hours....one min i have brakes, next thing i know without warning...boooom....no brakes. Any ideas peeps

Cheers guys.....I'll take Burp for a spin tomorrow and feel the wheels. I had a feeling it could be a fluid thing as its fine when cold. I'll keep y'all posted

It sounds like you have what we call brake fade which is normally caused by contaminated brake fluid. Most manufactorers recommend changing fluid every two years but most people never bother. Good luck Dude.

ok, Just went out to check fluid level and the screw cap on the fluid bottle is bust. I take it this wont be helping much Anyone got a spare cap going please [EDIT] I'm at work later so i'll use some Super Glue to stick the top back on the cap...In there time of course

Hi Mate, yes the cap being damaged proberbly won't help as brake fluid soaks up moisture like a sponge if open to the elements. best of luck mate.
