Hi all as I have blown the gearbox in my white golf, rather than mucking about swapping gearboxes over I'm going to do a full on VR6 conversion & spend lots of money doing it all properly..... So in the meantime I'm buying a little black Seat Arosa 1.7SDi S, pulls like a train & I'm picking it up tomorrow. All I need to sort out is a dent in the rear quater, VIC test, Tax & MOT then I will be ready for the road It's going to be mickey mouse money to run so might keep it as my daily as a VR6 will be less economical than my GTi Also it beats running round in my my Ford KA & having girls laugh at me at the traffic lights hopefully have it all sorted for the next dub meet as don't really want to turn up in something not VAG Pete

Nope giving the KA back to my mum at the end of the month, she doesn't like the stripped out lightweight look though so got to re-fit it all
lol he could always get a nice audi tdi instead of a merc, the estates look mint
Yeah can't wait till the next dub meet, not sure how I can fit a sub in the arosa's boot though :S

I just had to have a diesel lupo or arosa when i found out how cheap they are to run... It's a viable second car! I think 5 is too much so giving my ka to my mum & already breaking my black golf to get me down to 3. Couldn't bare to split from my gti or the morris minor that's been in my family for nearly 30 years
How many motors have you got in your collection toughjeans??

I've gone for diesel because it's a fun little car & with a few mods & abit of ecu trickery I'm hoping to get a beastly 80bhp, an extra 25 torque along with 64mpg! ;D not bad for a wee 1.7 sdi
Mostly going to be making it high spec using OEM parts as it's going to be a well used daily

I struggled to fit my scooter in my garage! I've got a set of VW lupo alloys on the way for my wee arosa now, seeing as my mate stole my steel wheels when he PX'd his golf. My Arosa is now sitting about 3 feet off the floor on 17" RS rep rims!! looks like a Matchbox toy

The Seat has now been sold to make way for a nice little Mk2 Clio! Not exactly VAG but will do me for a wee while till the golf is done, I'm really suprised at how nippy it is for a 1.2 & the factory trim is a lot better than I had in the Arosa
Hi Steve, my mate has just got back to me about the wheels, they are RS8 17" Reps with four decent tyres. He is going to have them professionally re-sprayed in gloss black then will be looking for £350 for them
