Is it easy to take tyres off of steel rims? I have a couple of standard Bug steels i need to clean up. If i let the air down and jump like a loon on the tyres sidewalls, can i prize them off?
I know its only a fiver to get someone to do it, but i'm tight lol

Not as tight as them tyres are. I did have a go once with grease and a crowbar but gave up. There may be a way of doing it. If you don't want the tyres like i didnt i cut them of through the bead with a angle grinder.

The tyres are I swear too much !!, so dont need them. Just wanna clean the rims up and spray them. Then get my 145's fitted. I think i'll pay the fiver

you need tyre levers. really without them, or a crowbar, you'll be sweating for no reason!

If the Tyres are shot then cut them off the rims using a hacksaw, and then a very sharp coal chisel to cut the steel bead at the base of the band. If not stop wasting hours of labour time and get them pull off by a Tyre machine in the long run it will save you money, as the hours wasted messing around are not productive, fine spend many thousands of hours working on your project; I normally do, but most of all put that time to good use getting on with things that can be done.
