Newbie from Kettering with 4 v-dub's

Hi,

I bumped into some lad in the co-op earlier with a t-shirt with K U D C printed on it so had to check out the site. Can't believe there's a local VW club in Kettering and I haven't found out before now, so thought i'd register and say hi to all you crazy people!

I'm a bit of a mad-head when it comes to Golf's, had a few over the years but currently have 2 mk2's, a G60 Rallye Golf and a B-reg GTi with a 2-litre bottom end from a mk3 Golf fitted, the other a mk1 GTi. I also own a B3 Passat GT saloon as I've recently become a father and needed something a little bit bigger!

Unfortunately the 3 Golf's are off the road, but these are only because of minor things that need doing, hopefully by end of year all of them will be up and running.

Hi mate that was me you spoke to. Nice motors. You dont have to have a running vw to come to the meets, alot of us have vw's in the making and come to meets in our daily drivers.

Glad I bumped into you Buggin, nice to have a local club for help if I need it.

@ Theanimal, are you on about my Rallye at the top? They're standard lights for a Rallye Golf, similar to a Jetta's but about 2/3 the size so a bit slimmer. Dunno if you know but there was only 5000 of them ever built in 1989, wide arched with 4x4 syncro drive and an uprated G60 supercharged engine, getting parts for it is an absolute nightmare as everything is discontinued, ebay has saved me on a few occasions!

As for opening a car showroom, that is a dream of mine! LOL, Just need to buy a razoredge Ghia, a type-3 shortnose fastback and obviously a camper and i'll be the happiest man alive.
