Say hello to shiny black Passat, well it was time for the bug to go and get a sensible car with heating, I think it's gone to a good home, it's stayed local so you may still see it from time to time. I have heating now, and air con, and a 6disc cd player, I really like this car, just gotta tax it, costs a fortune compared to the old bug which was free. Hopefully bring it up to the next meet.

Thanks Toughjeans, May even be longer than 10 years? if I add up all my beetle driving time, and none of my beetles had heating.

It's 118.25, and that's for 6months It was free in the bug, What have I done? Wait till winter Jordan, I be laughing then I hope so anyway if the passat serves me well. I did think about one of those propex? propane fired heaters for a while, not much more financially than two heat excahngers and all the fitting kits for it. More reliable with the gas heater as well, but you may have to lose the back seats in a bug to fit it?

Kixx, Is that date of first registration?, or date of manufacture? You can get a birth certificate from VW that may date it early enough to get free tax.

I'm afraid its the date of manufacture I've already checked it out. £190 for about 2000 miles a year is very steep.

The passat is up for sale, any reasonable offer considered, M.O.T runs out next month, selling due to ill health and lack of funds.
Currently a non starter due to flat battery but will start with jump leads.
Great project for enthusiast. looking for around £400 but any offer considered?
