i like them personally, but its not my bug. I have been after some wheels for our bus for well on to a year now still can't make my mind up what i'm actully looking for so i would say dont grab the first set you find unless you really want them, if YOU like them, buy them ;D

Although not a Bug owner if I was I wouldn't put them on my car, I must say I feel the same as theanimalbus, I like the wheels but I think they would suit a Vw based Beach buggy the best.
Also the motor that there on at the mo, really puts me off, it looks in a right state, so what are the rims really like when you see them in the flesh, seeing that he's rubbed oil on them or something similar to make them look more shinny, as he's got most of the stuff all over the tyres.

just bought a set of these. my tyres are currently 155 on front and 165 on rear. the tyres on the prolites are 195 all round. firstly i hope they will fit under my arches and secondly shall i run the 195 all round? whats the advantage of a bigger size on the rear?

The advantages of fat up back are better grip (more tyre on road) and that they look better!
The area you have to watch too is the depth (profile). Mine currently runs 165/80 on the back and 145/80 front which looks like a bleedin pram wheel and the front rubs like mad on full lock. In my personal opinion I want to get the car as low to the road as I can (within my price bracket)...so I've bought 185/65 on the back and I'm lookin for 175/55 on the front (which is a smart car rear tyre). Wider and lower all round...and it dosn't rub!
I'm not 100% on this but i know what I want for my car...if I were you I'd post a question on the VZi forum (www.volkszone.com) and see what other bug owners say, always been very helpful to me. Unless of course we have someone on here that can point you in the right direction.
Are they the wheels I showed you?

i dont know what profile my current tyres are as it dont say on them. dont know what profile the tyres on my new wheels are either.
will have to wait and see if they fit i guess. if they dont i can just swap the tyres over.
