Hi people, My bay is a pig to change from 3rd to 2nd (the stirring porridge analogy comes to mind). A kind soul I was talking to gave me one of those 'sooper-dooper' Hurst shifters for a T2, now all I need to do is fit it!! Has anyone fitted one of these, and if so, how easy/difficult is it??

hi bud Nut n Bolt soup eh ;D tis great fun isnt it !!!! Im guessing you have a standard shifter in there ? what i found was quite helpful, rather than go straight from 3 to 2.... either double clutch it, so clutch down outta 3 clutch up then back down again and into 2nd. or another way....... clutch down outta 3, pretend to go for 1st then head into 2nd, it seemed to work for me hope thats not too confusing as for your hurst shifter is it the empi one ? they are really easy to fit...........but ive never done one !!!!!!!! mate of mine who dont live local ( )fitted ours in , in roughly 15 mins at a show few years back, so cant be that hard eh!!! (he say's)

i fitted one to my old bus, though it was a scat shifter, it was easy enough, just bolt it on, then at worst you may have adjust forward/backward a little to 'fine' tune it
